Review

As most of you know, I like Toyotas. They hold a special place in my
heart. That being said, this is a car I didn't really like! It is one of
the most difficult cars to drive. With almost (and in some models over)
900 horsepower, and all that power trasmitted to only the rear wheels,
it's nuts. I don't really know how else to explain it. There is so much
power going to the rear end you MUST be awake the entire time while
driving this machine. Get into a corner sideways, blip the throttle 2 or
3 times, get on the brakes, sideways, countersteer, oversteer, sideways,
countersteer......BANG, right in the wall. I love Supras, but this thing
is only good for doubling as a cruise missile. I played wth the camber so
I could steer this monster. It helped, but its still too much power going
to the rear wheels.

I'm of the opinion that this is too much power for the chassis /
drivetrain setup. It's still an awesome car with ONLY 632 hp. When I
tested this beast in the GT Cup, I pulled back to the power to the Spec 3
turbo & it still was a handful. I tried it with the 900 too and didn't
fair much better. This Supra runs right up to 200 mph with no problems at
all in either form and the brakes can barely haul this thing down to a
stop...especially straight! Trying to keep this thing in a straight line
is a lot of fun too when you add in the equation of "turbo-lag."

If a corner is designed to be handled at 70 mph, then having a car that
gets you into that corner going 120 isn't going to make you faster. It'll
just make you crash. This is that car. I then tried to come into the
corner slower & accelerate out of it. Nope. Sideways in a blink of an eye
when the turbo spooled up.
I had the same lap times (within 0.5 - 1 seconds) with the 900 hp as I
did with the 632 hp car. I love speed, but speed still kills & this thing
should be locked up in a cage unless you're trained to handle assault
weapons.

The best way to sum this up is this: Most people like dogs. Most people
love to pet, walk & play with dogs. If this were a dog it would be a pit
bull. This thing definitely bites & is not for most people, but there are
those who love both this car & the aforementioned dog...not I.
